Work through real-world scenarios and legal dilemmas to explore when causing a death counts as murder, manslaughter or accident. This interactive online session lets you think like a lawyer and weigh where responsibility should lie.
In this interactive online session, Edge Hill University explores one of the biggest questions in criminal law: when should someone be held responsible for causing another person's death? Using real-world scenarios and legal dilemmas, the session looks at how the law distinguishes between murder, manslaughter and accident.
Participants are invited to think like lawyers and consider where responsibility should lie in complex situations. The session is designed to give students a practical taste of legal reasoning and the kinds of questions explored in university-level study.
It is also a useful introduction for anyone thinking about studying law, criminology, policing or criminal justice at university. The event is delivered in collaboration with Unifrog and is open to students online.
