Over six modules, learners explore animal care, anatomy, professional skills, clinical skills and the history of veterinary medicine through videos, readings and short assessed quizzes.
The course is designed to give insight into what it is like to study Veterinary Medicine and to help prospective applicants decide whether the profession and degree are a good fit. Materials include practical overviews (e.
g. , observation and examination skills), anatomical introductions, and modules on professional and clinical skills led by university instructors.
Learners can access core materials for free and may purchase the Certificate experience or apply for Coursera financial aid to receive the verified certificate upon successful completion. The course is flexible and self-paced, making it suitable for A-level students preparing for university as well as adults exploring the veterinary field.
