Computer Science in Action is a study day for post-16 students studying computer science. It brings together interactive talks and sessions that explore current ideas in the field, from brain-computer interfaces and smart cities to cyber security and artificial intelligence.

The day is designed to show how computer science connects to real-world challenges and future careers. Students can expect high-energy, engaging presentations from academics and industry speakers, with opportunities to take part through live polls, quizzes and discussion.

A dedicated exam success session also supports students with practical strategies to improve confidence and performance in computer science assessments. The event is hosted at the University of Birmingham and is aimed at learners studying A-level, IB, BTEC Level 3 and T Level Computer Science.

It is a chance to broaden understanding of the subject, hear from experts, and see how computer science is shaping technology and society.
