Curious how psychology works in real life? Join a full-day event at the University of Birmingham to explore forensic topics—from serial killers to real-world cases—hear expert speakers, build uni-ready insight and practical skills, and connect theory to career paths.

Psychology in Action is a full-day study event at the University of Birmingham for A level and IB students, designed to show how psychology works beyond the classroom. The programme brings together experienced speakers for a series of informative and inspirational sessions that connect psychological theory with real-world issues, giving students a deeper sense of how the subject is applied in modern life.

The day includes engaging talks on topics such as serial killers and forensic psychology, music, identity and relationships, and the darker side of the placebo effect, alongside a dedicated session on examination success. Students also have the chance to engage directly with the speakers and ask questions, making this a strong enrichment opportunity for anyone studying psychology and considering further study or related careers.
