Project Solver Ltd is recruiting an Electrical Testing Apprentice to join a mobile electrical testing and inspection team based in Dunmow, Essex. The role is primarily field-based and involves on-the-job learning across a variety of sites (offices, banks, sporting arenas, schools, universities, public sector and commercial premises).

You will learn to carry out electrical testing (Electrical Installation Condition Reports), emergency lighting testing, thermal imaging, portable appliance testing, fault finding, repair and installation work, and maintain NICEIC records and paperwork.

This is a 3 year 6 month apprenticeship starting 6 January 2026. You will work 4 days a week (08:00-17:00 with 1 hour lunch) and attend college one day per week with training provided by Harlow College.

The apprenticeship leads to a Level 3 electrotechnical qualification (installation or maintenance) and related City & Guilds certificates; NVQ Level 3 is referenced in the training outcomes. The first-year wage is £15,704 (apprentice rate), there is potential progression and a good chance of a permanent post on successful completion.

Applicants must meet the GCSE requirements in English and Maths and hold a full driving licence by the end of training.

  • Good level of physical fitness including ability to work at height
  • Able to attend college one day a week and complete coursework on time
  • Able to work 40 hours per week (4 days on site: start 08:00, finish 17:00 with 1 hour lunch)

£15,704 per year

Pay & Benefits
