Engineering for Teens at Cambridge University - Best Parents

This is a two-week, expert-led engineering summer course for students aged 13-15, delivered on-site in Cambridge. The programme focuses on real-world applications of engineering, problem-solving and innovation, with small class sizes (maximum of 8 students) to enable personalised attention.

Sessions combine hands-on challenges, masterclasses on teamwork and 21st-century skills, directed study and reflective goal-setting.

Students stay and study at Cambridge colleges (Fitzwilliam, Murray Edwards, Gonville & Caius) with residential and day (non-residential) options. Residential participants receive full-board meals and scheduled Heathrow airport transfers on official arrival/departure days; day students receive lessons, enrichment activities, lunch and dinner but are not provided with accommodation or airport transfers.

The programme includes supervised excursions to cultural and historical sites as part of enrichment.

Pastoral care, on-course support staff, and tutor feedback are provided throughout. On completion students receive a certificate of achievement, detailed written tutor feedback and a personalised Letter of Recommendation to support future applications.
