Study poetry, prose and drama through text-based workshops, essay writing and independent research in Oxford. One-to-one tutoring helps you shape your analytical voice, while living in Oxford University colleges brings formal dining, social activities and a graduation ceremony.

Immerse Education’s English Literature summer school in Oxford offers students aged 16-18 a university-style introduction to literary study in a historic academic setting. Participants explore poetry, prose and drama from a wide range of periods, developing a stronger understanding of how language, form, context and interpretation shape meaning.

The programme combines in-depth academic sessions with text-based workshops, essay writing, independent research and one-to-one tutoring. Students are encouraged to build confidence in discussion, sharpen their critical thinking and develop their own analytical voice with support from experienced tutors and mentors.

Alongside the academic curriculum, students live and learn in Oxford University colleges, taking part in a residential experience that includes formal dining, social activities and a graduation ceremony. Participants receive a certificate of achievement on completion, and can also opt in to earn UCAS points as an additional add-on.

  • Students aged 16-18 at the time of the programme.
  • UCAS points add-on is available only to students aged 14 and above at the time of the programme.
Participation fee: £5,995

Lowest-priced option: Non-Residential £5,995 (no accommodation). Residential Classic: £7,495 (includes accommodation, 13 nights, daily meals). Classic + Online Research Programme: £9,516 (2 weeks residential + 10 hours online).
