English Virtual Subject Taster Session

This virtual English taster session introduces students to some of the ideas and approaches they might explore on a related degree course. It is aimed at learners who want to deepen their understanding of the subject and get a feel for university-level discussion and analysis.

You will explore a genre and a critical theory through interactive activities, including dystopia and utopia, and Death of the Author, Roland Barthes and post-structuralism. The session is self-paced, takes about two hours to complete, and can be paused and resumed whenever you like.
