Apply Now - Urgent!Fancy building an app that helps wellbeing and pitching it to industry judges? Join University of Plymouth’s Enterprise Challenge Day to design a mental-health support app, sharpen teamwork, presentation and problem-solving skills, and get a taste of uni and industry experience.
Enterprise Challenge Day is an on-campus outreach event run by the University of Plymouth's Plymouth Business School that combines a fast-paced, Apprentice-style enterprise challenge for school students with a dedicated CPD programme for accompanying teachers. Student teams (up to 30 students per school) will work together to design a mental-health support app focused on everyday wellbeing (mindfulness, organisation, stress management, creativity), then pitch their concept to a panel of judges.
The event is designed to raise aspirations, build subject interest and strengthen links between schools/colleges across the South West and Plymouth Business School. Students will develop practical skills including teamwork, real-world business thinking, branding and product development, basic financial concepts (pricing/trading) and pitching/presentation skills.
Teachers take part in a parallel CPD strand featuring a keynote, specialist roundtables, networking with academics and the opportunity to observe student pitches and prize giving. Event details: Thursday 26 March 2026, 09:30 :00, on campus at the University of Plymouth.
