Sarah Manning leads a morning introduction to fungal biology, evolution and identification, then takes you around the reserve to put what you’ve learned into practice and observe fungi in the wild.

Join Sarah Manning for a fungi-focused learning experience at Langdon Nature Discovery Park. The event combines an introductory talk with practical outdoor exploration, making it suitable for anyone interested in nature, wildlife identification, and the fascinating world of fungi.

During the morning, participants learn the basics of fungal biology, the evolutionary history of the kingdom, and the fundamentals of identifying fungi. In the afternoon, Sarah leads a walk around the reserve so attendees can put what they have learned into practice while exploring the natural surroundings and observing fungi in the wild.

Sarah Manning is an experienced, self-taught field mycologist who enjoys sharing her knowledge and encouraging others to appreciate and protect fungi.
