The Museum of Classical Archaeology (Faculty of Classics, University of Cambridge) is operating an Events Volunteer Register and is inviting expressions of interest from volunteers aged 18 and over. Volunteers added to the Register will be emailed when specific event roles arise; volunteers can then reply to indicate availability and help with preparing for, advertising, or assisting at museum events.
This is an ongoing, ad-hoc volunteering role: volunteers may respond to as many or as few opportunities as they wish. Events are mostly held on weekdays (daytime or evening) with few weekend events. Volunteers who complete 20 hours of volunteering will be eligible for a reference.
How to apply: register via the UCM Volunteer Makers platform (create an account, register interest for the "Events Volunteer" challenge and complete the final stage of registration when emailed). Informal phone chats and an induction will be arranged before formal acceptance.
