Spend a week behind the scenes of a busy theatre, learning how the tech, marketing and creative engagement teams help put on events and support audiences. With 10 places available, you can explore the different roles involved in making theatre happen.
This is a one-week work experience placement at Exeter Northcott Theatre, giving young people the chance to see how a busy arts organisation operates behind the scenes. Participants will spend time learning about different parts of the theatre and how each team contributes to putting on events and supporting audiences.
During the placement, you will gain experience across a range of areas, including the tech team, the marketing team and the creative engagement team. The placement is designed to give a broad introduction to arts organisation work and to help participants understand the many roles involved in making theatre happen.
There are 10 places available, and the theatre will interview up to 20 applicants. The application is aimed at students who are keen to learn, able to reflect on why they want the placement and interested in contributing positively to the theatre during the week.
