Explore Creative Photography is a one-day, hands-on course for 14-17 year olds run by Falmouth UniversityE2-80 9s Institute of Photography on the Penryn campus. Participants work in professional photographic studios and darkrooms with industry-standard equipment, guided by experienced, DBS-cleared staff.
The course develops technical skills and conceptual thinking through practical activities and discussion. Workshops cover stop-motion animation, light painting (long exposure techniques), studio lighting and exposure for group shots, and photogram (camera-free) processes.
The day comprises approximately five hours of taught workshops with supervised breaks; the programme includes arrival/sign-in, morning and afternoon sessions, a lunch break and a 4:00pm finish. All materials, lunch and refreshments are provided.
The course is suitable for learners of all experience levels and includes safeguarding measures: supervised sessions, DBS-checked staff, and parental sign-in requirements for younger participants. Participants receive a certificate of completion at the end of the day.

Tuition fee £99 per individual. Fee includes all materials and camera equipment required, refreshments and lunch (all dietary requirements catered for). PPE will be provided for the darkroom workshop. No accommodation is provided as part of the fee.
