The Facilities Manager Degree Apprenticeship at the University of Gloucestershire is a work-based degree programme combining employment and study to develop professional facilities management skills. Teaching and modules cover core management topics such as leadership, finance, project management, property and asset management, procurement, and the legal environment.
Apprentices complete a programme of academic study alongside practical, on-the-job work and at least six hours per week of off-the-job training.
Teaching is delivered over three years and includes a live management enquiry project and a final End Point Assessment (EPA) consisting of a work-based project, a presentation with discussion, and a professional discussion based on an apprentice portfolio. On successful completion apprentices receive a BA (Hons) in Facilities Management and an IWFM Level 6 Extended Diploma, meeting IWFM professional recognition requirements.
The programme is delivered at Gloucestershire Business School (Oxstalls Campus, Gloucester) in partnership with employers across England. Apprentices are employed by their host organisation throughout the apprenticeship and may be subject to additional employer-specific entry requirements.

Tuition and training costs are covered by the employer and the Government using the Apprenticeship Levy scheme; apprentices are employed by a company (wages/salary depend on the employer).
