The Faculty of STEM - Dukes Cambridge is a two-week, on-campus summer school for motivated school students aged 14-17. The programme combines interactive seminars and hands-on workshops across physics, chemistry, biology, engineering and computing, with around 25 hours of subject-specific academic content per week led by experienced tutors.
Students take part in laboratory experiments, engineering projects and technology sessions that bring theory to life, and collaborate in groups to produce a final project presented at the "Time to Shine" science fair. Each week also includes an industry programme with guest speakers and practical insights, plus dedicated academic coaching to support university applications and presentation skills.
Delivered at the Dukes Cambridge campus, students live in purpose-built accommodation and join supervised excursions in Cambridge and London. The course is designed to deepen subject knowledge, strengthen problem-solving and communication skills, and prepare participants for further study or careers in STEM fields.
