Get hands-on with the film production process across two days, using professional-standard facilities and guidance from experienced university staff. Try camera, lighting, directing, editing, sound and visual postproduction, then leave with a certificate of completion.

Script to Screen is a practical two-day short course for young people who want to explore the fundamentals of filmmaking in a hands-on environment. Participants work through the film production process with guidance from experienced Falmouth University staff, using professional-standard facilities at the School of Film and Television on Penryn Campus.

The course introduces key areas such as camera operation, lighting, directing, acting, editing, colour grading, sound acquisition, Foley, and visual postproduction. Learners also gain insight into crew roles in short filmmaking and meet professionals from the screen industries, helping them build confidence, practical understanding, and connections with others who share an interest in film.

Refreshments, lunch, and all materials are included, and students leave with a certificate of completion.
