City Aluminium Shopfront NW Ltd is recruiting a Fenestration Fabrication Apprentice to join their experienced fabrication team at their Albion Trading Estate site in Ashton-under-Lyne. As an apprentice you will spend most of your time working on the job, learning fabrication and assembly techniques to manufacture aluminium windows, doors and related products to supplier specifications.
Typical duties include following fabrication/assembly manuals, loading/unloading and general labouring, maintaining work area cleanliness, and following health and safety procedures. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00 (40 hours per week).
The apprenticeship includes off-the-job training delivered by The Growth Company Limited and covers the Lean manufacturing operative (Level 2) standard with an NVQ in Fenestration, plus Functional Skills in English and maths where applicable. The role starts on 15 December 2025 and runs for 1 year 3 months, with progression opportunities on successful completion and potential to move into a permanent role.
