Film Wakefield: Networking Event is a free in-person networking night bringing together people connected to Wakefield’s growing screen sector. The event celebrates Film Wakefield’s first year and aims to create space for conversation, collaboration, and new opportunities across film, television, and digital storytelling.
Attendees can expect industry speakers, panel discussions, a live jobs board, speed networking, a film screening zone, a live podcast recording, and stalls from film and TV organisations sharing pathways and advice. There will also be breakout spaces for pitching ideas, swapping contacts, and exploring possible collaborations.
The event is aimed at filmmakers, producers, writers, directors, actors, crew members, students, emerging creatives, content creators, and local businesses with an interest in supporting productions. It is designed for anyone who works in screen industries, wants to get started, or simply wants to connect with the local creative community.
