Spend your volunteering hours in charity shops, building retail, customer service and teamwork skills while supporting a local cause. You’ll meet local people and be part of the sustainable fashion movement.

Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity offers youth volunteering opportunities in its shops for young people aged 14 to 17. These placements are designed for those taking part in Duke of Edinburgh volunteering, community service placements, or students who want to gain valuable work experience as part of their course.

Volunteering in the shops gives young people a chance to build practical skills while supporting a local charity. Volunteers can learn more about how charities work, gain retail experience, and develop customer service, teamwork and communication skills.

It is also a chance to meet local people, make new friends, and be part of the sustainable fashion movement while helping a good cause.

The charity notes that places for 14 to 17 year olds are limited, so availability may vary. Schools and colleges can also get in touch to discuss student placements, with support from the Volunteer Engagement Manager.
