This is a short online course from Deakin University exploring the relationship between diet, nutrition and mental and brain health. Over three weeks learners review research evidence and practical strategies, learn about mechanisms such as inflammation and the gut microbiome, and consider dietary assessment and change techniques.
The course is structured in weekly steps with a mix of videos, articles and practical activities. It is introductory and includes guided content, discussions with peers and educators, and assessments; completing 90% of steps and required assessments can make you eligible for a digital certificate.
The course is open-level and designed for anyone with an interest in diet and mental health, including healthcare practitioners and educators. It is delivered fully online via FutureLearn and is available to start straight away.
