Complete an in-house online programme before you can be considered for an in-person hospital placement, with up to five days to explore ward or non-clinical NHS roles. Placements are offered during five set weeks each year.
Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust offers a work experience programme for people who want to learn more about careers in the NHS. The placements can support students who are thinking about hospital ward roles or non-clinical support roles, and the programme is designed to give practical insight into working in a healthcare environment.
The opportunity uses a hybrid approach. Applicants must first complete Frimley Health’s in-house online programme before they can be considered for a face-to-face placement, which is in person at one of the trust’s hospital sites.
Placements are up to five days long and are offered during five set weeks each year. The programme is highly competitive, and the trust says it cannot guarantee an in-person placement for everyone who applies.
