Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust offers volunteering opportunities across its hospital and healthcare sites, with over 700 volunteers supporting patients, staff and visitors. Volunteers contribute their time, skills and enthusiasm to improve the patient experience and help a wide range of departments across the Trust.
People who are interested in volunteering must first attend one of the Trust’s information sessions, which are held regularly throughout the year when recruitment is open. These sessions explain the available roles, the recruitment process and what to expect as a volunteer.
After attending, applicants receive a recruitment link and can continue with the application process.
If selected, volunteers are invited to interview and then complete the necessary checks, including references, a DBS check and occupational health clearance. Volunteers must also be able to provide three forms of ID, including proof of address and photo ID.
The opportunity is open to anyone aged 16 or over who wants to support the NHS in a practical and rewarding way.
