Future Artists is a two-week, in-person creative programme run by Summer Boarding Courses at Canford School. Students experiment across drawing, painting, mixed media and design while developing their own artistic voice through studio sessions, guided projects and group critiques.
The course is taught by practising artists and experienced tutors and emphasises both technical skills and creative thinking. Participants take part in individual and collaborative projects culminating in a final showcase where work is exhibited and presented.
The programme includes 15 hours of subject-specific lessons per week, excursions to notable UK locations, and a varied social programme to develop confidence and communication skills. Each student receives a personalised end-of-course report and a certificate of achievement on completion.
The course is aimed at young creatives aged 11 to 16, requires English level B1+ and is open to all ability levels. Residential and non-residential options are offered, and essential art materials are provided as part of the programme.
