Future Global Leader at Headington Oxford is a two-week boarding course for students aged 12 to 16 run by Summer Boarding Courses at Headington School, Oxford. The programme focuses on power, politics and leadership, offering interactive lessons (approximately 15 hours per week), model United Nations-style sessions, debates, negotiation and scenario-based simulations to build critical thinking and diplomatic skills.
Participants will take part in leadership workshops, cross-cultural group work and a varied extracurricular programme including sports, arts, excursions (examples listed include Thorpe Park, London and Oxford) and social activities. Class sizes are small (maximum 15) to support active participation and personalised feedback.
Students receive a certificate on completion and a progress report to summarise learning outcomes. Accommodation is provided on campus in single, twin or small dorm rooms with shared bathroom facilities.
The course is delivered on-campus and is residential; international students may require a UK visitor visa and SBC provides supporting documentation. Start dates for 2026 sessions are 6 July and 20 July (two-week sessions).
