GameOn with HP Gaming Garage Hackathon

GameOn with HP Gaming Garage is an online game jam challenging creators to turn cultural heritage - traditions, languages, folklore, crafts, music, and historical sites - into interactive games. The jam runs with submissions open from 26 March 2026 to 6 May 2026 and invites teams or solo creators to design playable experiences that celebrate and preserve cultural identity.

Teams of 1-4 (solo entries welcome) must ensure every team member has completed at least one HP Gaming Garage professional course (certification via the provided edX links is mandatory). Projects should demonstrate a preservation focus and use game design, generative AI, or other interactive techniques to reimagine heritage for contemporary audiences.

Up to 12 finalist teams will be chosen to showcase their work to industry experts and compete for prizes. Submissions are managed through the itch. io jam page.
