Games Design Workshop 4 Kids is a hands-on computer coding workshop for children aged 11-16 that introduces participants to designing and coding 2D platform video games using Stencyl. Through guided lessons and progressively challenging exercises, attendees build a series of games (Our First Game, Space Invaders, Break Out!
, Dungeon Crawler, Sparky Ship, Asteroids) while learning the Stencyl IDE and visual programming concepts. Sessions are delivered live with tutors (online via Microsoft Teams) and are suitable for complete beginners as well as more experienced young coders; previous attendees can rebook and receive tailored challenges.
Online workshops run in UK times with morning sessions (09:30-12:30) and afternoon sessions (13:00-16:00). For online attendance participants should have a desktop or laptop, microphone/headset, mouse and keyboard, and a broadband connection meeting the listed minimum speeds.
All attendees receive a certificate on completion. To book, use the booking form on the Spark4Kids course page or call 020 8090 1444. Childcare vouchers are accepted and instalment payments are possible if organised before the course start; group and sibling discounts may apply.

Course fee £180.00 per booking. Spark4Kids accepts childcare vouchers from a range of providers and offers a pay-by-instalments option if booked more than one month before the course start. 100% refund available after the first session if the course is not suitable.
