Fancy getting your hands dirty for good? Join Hounslow Community FoodBox as a Gardener: grow organic fruit, veg and flowers, learn practical horticulture, gain volunteering experience, meet your community and boost your CV.

Hounslow Community FoodBox is a volunteer-led local project that grows organic fruit, vegetables and flowers to include in food parcels for local people in need. As a Gardener you would help maintain the FoodBox vegetable and flower garden at the Brickfield Community Centre and support work on the dedicated allotment plot at the Chiswick Horticultural & Allotments Society.

The role is inclusive and open to anyone who shares FoodBox's values. Volunteers often find the experience enriching, with opportunities to learn new horticultural skills, share existing skills with others, and build confidence.

New volunteers receive an induction and training to prepare them for the role.

This is an in-person community volunteering role based in London. Everyone gives their time freely, but reasonable expenses incurred while volunteering will be reimbursed.
