Join Utility Fitters as a Gas Engineering Apprentice based at Theobalds Business Park, Cheshunt/Waltham Cross. This paid apprenticeship starts 12 January 2026 and combines on-the-job training with day-release study at CK Assessment & Training.

You will work across customer locations, learning practical gas engineering skills under the supervision of experienced operatives.

The role is typically four days per week in the workplace and one day per week day-release training in Nazeing (up to 18 months). Tasks include installing, commissioning and maintaining primary and secondary gas appliances, conducting safety checks and risk assessments, using test instrumentation, and documenting work in line with regulations.

Benefits include 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, ongoing support and training, staff uniform and PPE. Successful completion leads to opportunities for full-time work as a domestic gas engineer, progression into commercial gas roles, or other specialist positions within the gas and heating industries.
