The GCSE Latin & Ancient World Olympiad is a table-quiz style evening event for Year 10 and Year 11 students, focusing on GCSE Latin language skills alongside rounds on ancient history, mythology and literature. The quiz includes grammar and prose comprehension rounds, plus puzzles and games designed to suit a range of abilities.
Teams of four pupils will compete at Tiffin School on the evening of Friday 21 November 2025 (quiz runs 17:00-20:30). Every team must be accompanied by the teacher who organised the booking; light refreshments will be available for students between rounds and teachers are invited to use the staffroom.
Bookings are made via Eventbrite and the entry fee is A310 per team. Places are limited to one team per school to ensure comfortable accommodation in the hall; a waitlist is available if the event fills. Prizes will be awarded to winning teams.
