GCSE Maths in Action is a one-day maths enrichment event for KS4 students (GCSE students, Years 10-11) taking place at the Emmanuel Centre in London. The day runs on Tue 20 Jan 2026 from 10:45 to 15:15 and brings together leading maths communicators and industry speakers to showcase the real-world value of mathematics.
Through five high-energy, interactive sessions students will explore topics such as randomness and statistics, mathematical puzzles using chessboards, mathematical magic and tricks, the maths behind juggling, and historical ‘stories from maths’. Sessions use live polls, quizzes and audience participation to make abstract ideas tangible, and there is a dedicated Exam Success session to give practical strategies for GCSE revision and exam technique.
The event is aimed at classroom groups and school visits; group booking terms include one complimentary staff ticket per ten students. Tickets are priced at £19. 50 plus VAT.
