It adopts a life-course framework to explore changing patterns of adolescent development, puberty and brain development, major health and social issues for young people, and how policy, practice and programming can improve youth health outcomes.
The course comprises short video lectures and interviews, readings, online discussion, quizzes and written assignments. It is delivered at a beginner level with no required text; learners may access 100% of course materials for free.
Assessment tasks and two written assignments are available for those who wish to attempt them; a paid Certificate experience is optional for learners who want evidence of completion.
This course is suitable for anyone interested in adolescent health - including undergraduate students, health professionals in training, and those working or volunteering with young people. Financial aid is offered for learners who require assistance to purchase the Certificate experience.
