The Global Young Leaders Course at Winchester College is a boarding summer programme for students aged 13-16 that combines English language tuition with leadership, STEM-lite problem solving, entrepreneurship and presentation skills. Hosted on the historic Winchester College campus, the programme offers 20 hours of tuition per week across four core strands (English, STEM, Young Entrepreneur and Presentation Skills) alongside a varied activities and excursions programme.
Students live in supervised boarding houses with resident house parents, receive full board (three meals per day) and benefit from small international class sizes (maximum 16). The schedule includes morning academic sessions and afternoon/evening activities, with two supervised excursions per week (examples: London, Oxford, Thorpe Park, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard).
British student hosts are included to help international students practise English and integrate into campus life. All students receive a certificate at course end. Practical details: published free airport transfers (Heathrow/Gatwick) are included for published arrival/departure dates (flights must arrive/depart between 09:00-16:00).
The programme is designed for international and domestic teenagers seeking a structured, supervised summer experience focused on language development, leadership and cultural enrichment.
