German Online for Teens is an online language course from the Goethe-Institut for young learners aged 12 to 16. It is designed for students working across A1, A2, B1 and B2 levels, with a placement test used to place each participant into the appropriate sub-level before the course begins.
The course is delivered live online and combines regular teaching with a structured weekly timetable. Depending on the cohort, participants either follow a 12-week programme with sessions on Wednesdays and Saturdays, or an 18-week programme with sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays.
In total, the course covers 72 teaching units, with each unit lasting 45 minutes. The fee includes the placement test, access to the Goethe-Institut learning platform, a licence for the online course book, and a digital certificate of participation.
The course is fully online, making it suitable for teens who want an organised German learning programme delivered remotely by a major cultural institution.
