Gordonstoun International Summer School (GISS) is Gordonstoun’s long-established summer programme for young people. It combines academic and outdoor education in a residential setting, with a strong focus on challenge, adventure, internationalism and learning through experience.
Students are supported by experienced staff and a strong pastoral care model designed to help them build confidence, make friends and get the most from their summer.
The programme offers both junior and senior options, with a two-week junior course and a three-week senior course. Across each course, participants can choose from study options alongside a broad mix of sports, drama, design, creative arts, cultural visits and social activities.
A highlight is the adventure residential, which takes juniors to the Cairngorm mountains and seniors to the West Coast of Scotland, giving students a memorable outdoor experience as part of the wider summer school.

Location
- Suitable for native English speakers and those learning English as a foreign language.
All-inclusive cost: junior course £4,650; senior course £6,750. Costs cover accommodation, all meals and snacks, all academic tuition, sports coaching and creative arts tuition, outdoor adventure and sailing programmes, all trips, activities and social events, onsite laundry, 24-hour onsite healthcare, and airport transfers from/to Aberdeen (Dyce) or Inverness (Dalcross). No extras other than personal pocket money and recommended travel & medical insurance.
