Greene King Chef Apprenticeship

Join Greene King as a Chef Apprentice at Hive Pubs in York, working on a shift pattern to deliver high-quality food and service. The role focuses on preparing, cooking and presenting food to business standards while maintaining hygiene and safety.

Youll learn to work as part of a busy kitchen team, communicate effectively with colleagues, and follow specifications for portioning and presentation.

The apprenticeship blends on-the-job learning with off-the-job training, including workshops, webinars and regular reviews with your line manager and apprenticeship trainer. You will work towards the Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship over 15 months and can gain Functional Skills in English and maths if you do not already have GCSEs.
