Guildhall School of Music & Drama RELEASE 2026

RELEASE 2026 is Guildhall Young Artists’ composition competition for under-18s, celebrating creativity in new music. Finalists are invited to present their work in a live event that combines music and film, giving young composers a public platform to share original ideas and creative approaches.

The event takes place at Milton Court Concert Hall in London and is free to attend, although booking is required. Audience members can expect to hear exciting new pieces from the competition finalists, alongside a celebration of emerging talent from Guildhall Young Artists.

As part of the event, finalists will receive prizes from industry-leading composers. The competition highlights composition, performance, and creative storytelling, and it offers young musicians a chance to gain recognition for original new work.
