The Guildhall Young Artists King's Cross Drama Course is a practical Saturday drama programme for young people aged 11-18. The course nurtures creativity, develops identity and builds technical acting skills.
Students work in age-appropriate groups and take part in at least three separate sessions that explore vocal and physical approaches to storytelling, text work and improvisation.
The training is progressive and suitable for beginners as well as those wanting to advance their drama practice. All students join weekly Arts Lab sessions which bring together music, drama and production arts cohorts to foster creativity, collaboration and experimentation.
Visiting Guildhall tutors and drama students contribute masterclasses and performance opportunities throughout the year.
Sessions run on Saturdays during term time at Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School and include staged performances at the centre and other arts venues. Practical information: course times are 10:00-13:00 each Saturday, fees are £395 per term, optional one-to-one lessons are available for an additional fee, and new students are offered a five-week paid trial period.
After the trial, students are enrolled on an annual membership basis with half-term notice required to withdraw.
