Guildhall Young Artists Online Drama Course is an online programme for students aged 7 to 18 delivered by teachers from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. The course combines personalised one-to-one tuition with group workshops led by experienced tutors from the Guildhall Young Artists network, allowing students worldwide to access high-quality acting training without attending in person.
Each term students receive six one-to-one sessions (ages 11-18: one hour per session; ages 7-11: half an hour per session) and four hours of group workshops (one hour per session) led by the course lead and guest tutors. Students are placed in classes according to age, ability and prior experience; group classes are recorded for catch-up.
During the first one-to-one session tutors prepare a personal development plan which is updated throughout the term. There are no auditions to join GYA Online. Parents/carers and students should ensure they have a reliable internet connection and a device with camera and microphone and use a compatible browser for Zoom.
Fees are charged per term (ages 7-11 £350; ages 11-18 £565) with a £100 holding deposit. Means-tested bursaries are available. To join, register your interest via the Guildhall Young Artists Online enquiry form on the Guildhall website.
