Build your GCSE or A-level art portfolio through practical studio work focused on drawing, painting, form, structure and composition. Explore contemporary and classical art, then experiment with techniques and approaches inspired by individual artists’ processes.
This Sunday morning workshop is designed for aspiring art students who want structured support with portfolio development for GCSE and A-level study. It focuses on the basics of drawing and painting, with an emphasis on exploring form, structure and composition through practical studio work.
Students look at both contemporary and classical art as reference points, and learn about individual artists’ processes to help inform their own ideas. The course encourages experimentation with different techniques and approaches, and is suitable for students in Years 9-11 who want extra support alongside their school art work.
