Hartpury College Women's Rugby Academy offers specialist coaching and a performance environment designed to develop female rugby players alongside their academic studies. Players train with experienced coaches, use world-class facilities (grass and 3G pitches, performance gyms and biomechanics labs) and compete regularly against strong college teams.
The programme has a track record of producing international players and professional signings. The academy supports a tailored academic pathway alongside weekly coaching, opportunities for work experience and international links (USA, Hong Kong, France, Canada) that can expand playing and development opportunities.
The academy is linked to Hartpury's college sport courses (Level 2 and Level 3 diplomas) for those pursuing formal qualifications while training. Key events for prospective students include a Taster Day on Friday 31 July 2026 (11:00-14:00 BST) and Assessment Days on Friday 30 October 2026 and Friday 19 February 2027 (each 10:00-14:00).
These are aimed at prospective college students for the September 2027 intake and are recommended for anyone considering the programme. There is also a pathway to the senior Gloucester-Hartpury Women RFC for players over 17 with approved dispensation; entry to that programme requires demonstrating readiness for senior rugby.
