Health and Benefits Professional Excellence Apprenticeship 2026

This is a one-year Professional Excellence apprenticeship within Howden's Health and Benefits team based in London. You will work alongside colleagues who manage employee benefits for employer clients and support the team by producing training guides, organising technical training sessions, resolving admin queries with brokers, and handling complaints.

One day each week is dedicated to study toward a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification while earning a salary.

You will join a structured development programme with a cohort of peers and a dedicated trainer who supports progress throughout the apprenticeship. The role emphasises customer service, data handling, problem solving, and presenting to small groups.

No previous insurance experience is required; the programme teaches the technical knowledge needed for the role.

The application process includes an online application form (no CV required), a gamified assessment, a pre-recorded video interview, and a final in-person assessment centre. Howden will cover travel costs for the assessment day and can provide reasonable adjustments where needed.
