Want a paid route into audiology and a BSc? Join Aston's four-year degree apprenticeship: work full-time in clinic while studying online and on campus, build hands-on clinical skills, earn a BSc (Hons), an apprenticeship certificate and eligibility to register.

Aston Universitys Healthcare Science (Audiology) Degree Apprenticeship combines full-time employment in an audiology clinical role with university study over four years. Apprentices learn through a mix of online learning, block on-campus study, tutorials, practical sessions and workplace-based clinical training.

On successful completion you gain a BSc (Hons) in Healthcare Science (Audiology), an apprenticeship certificate and the opportunity to register as a Healthcare Scientist in audiology.

This work-based degree prepares apprentices for clinical practice assessing and managing hearing loss, tinnitus and balance disorders. Students develop practical audiological skills (hearing assessment, hearing-aid fitting and verification), clinical reasoning, research methods and professional standards (HCPC).

Apprentices attend employer clinical placements while being released for study and assessment blocks at Aston.

Entry and selection are managed by employers: applicants must secure an apprenticeship role (or be employed in a suitable audiology post). Indicative academic requirements include three A Levels (one science preferred) and GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C.

DBS and occupational health checks are required and employers set final eligibility criteria.
