Join Fleet Maintenance Services Ltd as a Heavy Goods Service and Maintenance Apprentice Technician based at Unit 66, Stakehill Industrial Estate, Middleton (Manchester). This apprenticeship is a hands-on role where most learning happens on the job: you will assist technicians, use workshop tools and equipment, learn safe working procedures, service vehicles, and carry out fault diagnosis and repairs on engine, chassis, electrical and transmission systems.
You will be employed full-time (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and spend time away from the workplace for specialist training delivered by THE GROWTH COMPANY LIMITED. The training leads to a Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician qualification and includes learning DVSA standards, advanced diagnostic principles, and record-keeping to operator licence requirements.
Full training and support will be provided by the training provider to help you achieve the apprenticeship.
Wage for the first year is £15,704 (may increase with age). The role starts on Monday 8 December 2025. Applicants must hold GCSEs in English and Maths at grade A*-C / 9-4. Successful completion can lead to progression within the company and opportunities such as becoming an HGV MOT Tester.
