Want to make money make sense? Join HEC Paris' 3-day crash course to build practical skills in budgeting, investing and market basics. Learn through hands-on activities and real case studies, boost your confidence for uni or early-career finance roles.

HEC Paris Financial Literacy is a dynamic 3-day crash course for motivated young students who want to build a practical understanding of money, investing, and how financial markets work. Taught in English and also available in French, the programme is designed to make finance accessible, engaging, and directly relevant to students' lives.

Across hands-on activities, real-world case studies, and immersive learning, participants explore topics such as budgeting, saving, compound interest, risk management, portfolio building, company valuation, and different asset classes. The course is intended to help students develop the confidence to make informed financial decisions and think critically about choices like saving, investing, and managing money.

The programme runs as an in-person, non-residential experience on the HEC Paris campus and includes 18 hours of instruction over 3 days. Students who take part fully receive an HEC Paris Certificate of Participation.

Participants are responsible for arranging their own transport and accommodation if needed.

  • Motivated students aged 15 to 18.
  • Applicants must have a minimum C1 level of English proficiency.
  • Non-native speakers must provide a recognised English language proficiency test score report (TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, Cambridge, or Duolingo English Test) or a letter of recommendation from their English teacher confirming their CEFR level, including Speaking and Listening.
  • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis according to motivation.
