Apply NowFancy bringing Shakespeare off the page and onto your feet? Join a two-day, practical workshop at Hereford College of Arts to explore movement, verse, character and rehearsal techniques, build ensemble confidence, and perform bold, authentic scenes with tutor Caroline Colomei.
Step into the rehearsal room and discover Shakespeare through movement, play, and performance in this practical on-your-feet workshop. Across two days you will bring Shakespeare’s scenes to life using games, exercises, rehearsal techniques and guided scene study, exploring character, language, truthful listening, emotional readiness and approaches to verse.
Working in a supportive ensemble led by tutor Caroline Colomei, sessions focus on taking text off the page into bold, authentic performance. The course is designed to build confidence and a practical acting toolkit: you will work on scenes and monologues, develop clarity in verse, and receive hands-on tutor contact in small class sizes.
The workshop is held in HCA’s Folly Lane performing arts spaces and is suitable for adults of mixed experience levels. Classes are limited to 15 participants. A 45-minute lunch break is provided each day; light refreshments (tea and coffee) will be available.
Participants should wear clothes they can move in.
