Survey Pear Tree Walk with nature reserves and nature recovery officers, recording winter wildlife from plants and fungi to insects and birds. No experience is needed. Records collected will be shared with Herefordshire Biological Records Centre and kept for the Trust’s own records.
Join Herefordshire Wildlife Trust for a winter Bioblitz at Pear Tree Walk, led by nature reserves officer Rosie Wilson and nature recovery officer Toby Fountain. Participants will walk the site and help survey and record as many species as possible, from plants and fungi to insects and birds.
The event supports work to understand the wildlife living on this land, which adjoins Wessington Pasture Nature Reserve and is being fundraising to purchase and extend the reserve.
The day is open to everyone, including families, adults, experts and beginners, and no previous knowledge or experience is needed. Records collected during the event will be shared with the Herefordshire Biological Records Centre and kept for the Trust’s own records.
Please book early as parking is limited. Bring sturdy shoes, suitable outdoor clothing, drinks, snacks and lunch, and note that there are no loos or handwashing facilities on site. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or carer.
