The Historical Association: Republic! Britain's Revolutionary Decade 1649-60

The Historical Association is hosting a branch event on the aftermath of the British Wars, titled "Republic! Britain's Revolutionary Decade 1649-60". The discussion explores one of the most debated periods in British history, offering attendees the chance to hear historical interpretation and engage with ideas about the revolutionary decade that followed 1649.

Dr Alice Hunt, Associate Professor from Southampton University, will lead the discussion. The event is presented as a history talk rather than a formal course, making it suitable for anyone with an interest in early modern Britain and the political, social and religious upheavals of the period.

It takes place at Friends Meeting House in Chichester and is run by the Historical Association's Chichester branch. Attendance is free for HA members, with others asked to enquire on arrival.
