Explore contemporary political issues at St Mary's University with a one-day History and Politics Masterclass aimed at students in the first and second year of sixth form or college. The masterclass introduces key concepts in political economy, migration and citizenship, memory and politics, and political ideology through a mix of short lectures and interactive sessions.
The day runs from 09:30 to 14:30 and includes an arrival and welcome, four topical sessions with a mid-morning and early-afternoon break, and a lunch break. Sessions include "What is political economy?
", a combined politics and history session on migration and citizenship, a session on memory and politics, and a final session on understanding political ideology. The event takes place in person at St Mary’s University, Twickenham.
