This is a hands-on Level 2 Horticulture apprenticeship with Saunders Gardening Ltd based in Milton Keynes. You will learn garden maintenance, fencing installation and soft landscaping by working on real sites under the guidance of experienced team members.

The role is predominantly practical and includes safe use and maintenance of gardening tools and equipment.

Training is delivered alongside on-the-job learning by the Central Young Men's Christian Association training provider and leads to a recognised Level 2 horticulture or landscape construction operative qualification, with functional skills where required. Course content covers health and safety, plant identification, turfing, planting, pruning, basic landscape construction and environmental and biosecurity procedures.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 8:00-16:30 (40 hours/week). The apprenticeship starts on Monday 8 December 2025, runs for 1 year 6 months, and may lead to a full-time position on successful completion. Wage shown is £15,704 to £25,396.80 depending on age.
