Sort donations, steam clothes and serve customers at a till while helping a hospice shop run. Training is provided, and you’ll work with a friendly team; depending on shop needs, you may focus mainly on one role.

Join The Hospice of St. Francis as a shop volunteer and help support its charity shops in the heart of the community. The role is ideal for people who want a fun volunteering experience, a chance to learn new skills, and the opportunity to work as part of a friendly team.

Volunteer tasks are varied and training is provided. Main duties can include serving customers as a till operator, steaming clothes ready for sale, sorting donations, hanging and tagging clothes, washing bric-a-brac, and filling shop shelves.

Volunteers are expected to be committed to the Hospice values, and may be asked to focus mainly on one role depending on shop needs. If you are interested, you can visit a shop for a chat with the manager or apply online.
